Plastuni L., Hand creme Light PBL tube

Sustainable concept and well-designed artwork

The French manufacturer Plastuni Lisses which is part of the Somater group has developed a sustainable cosmetic tube made of a lightweight 220μ PBL web replacing the existing ABL. Somater, a French primary polymer packaging manufacturer and a committed player to eco-design, has launched this tube to support Group Rocher, a major player in cosmetics and a B corp company, in its sustainable transition. Plastuni Lisses has been awarded by group Rocher for its 30ml hand cream range relaunch. This choice, replacing ABL film with a non-recyclable aluminium barrier, resulted in the benefits of the fully recyclable PE film and the reduction in its thickness. This conversion has notably led to an annual reduction of 2.7 tons of plastic and the elimination of 4.8 tons of aluminum. This 30ml tube is also user-friendly to be used on-the-go as it is very smooth and offers good restitution. The hand cream range has 7 colourful references decorated by flexography and is decorated with a light octagonal PP cap. The exceptionally well-designed artwork gives each individual tube and the entire range a unique appeal with a high memory factor.
