Every three years, the European Tube Manufacturers Association (etma) proudly brings together the world’s leading players in the flexible tube supply chain for the World Tube Congress (WTC) – an unparalleled platform for inspiration, collaboration, and exchange. The next edition will take place from 20–21 May 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal.

The World Tube Congress is a truly global event that brings together the entire flexible tube value chain – from raw material and machine suppliers to brand owners – from every corner of the world. Over two exciting days, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a dynamic program covering the latest developments, challenges, and opportunities shaping the future of the tube industry.

The event will begin with an informal Get-Together Evening – a relaxed networking occasion offering participants the chance to reconnect with familiar faces and make new industry contacts ahead of the main conference day.

On 21 May, the World Tube Congress will open with a series of plenary sessions addressing global trends in key application sectors, updates on the evolving European regulatory landscape, and insights into regional markets and sustainability strategies. These high-level presentations will offer both a strategic overview and practical takeaways for companies operating in an increasingly complex and interconnected packaging environment.

In the afternoon, the focus will turn to parallel breakout sessions dedicated to the three main tube categories – aluminium, plastic, and laminate. Experts from across the value chain will discuss the latest technological and market developments, from recyclability criteria and raw material trends to advances in coating technologies and barrier materials. These sessions will provide participants with deep dives into the specific challenges and innovations shaping each material sector.

The day will conclude with a joint closing session, summarizing the key insights and takeaways, followed by a group dinner – a perfect occasion for further networking in a more relaxed atmosphere.
