The trendy look of sustainability
Tubemaker Albéa of France has produced the Dry Sun Oil tubes for SeventyOne Percent, a brand strongly involved in sustainability. The company develops formulas that respect consumer health and the environment by protecting the ocean. They partnered with Albéa to launch a new eco-designed tube. The result is a sustainable success in several ways: the sleeve of the tube with pump is made using 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. The use of PCR contributes to limiting the amount of waste, reduces consumption of virgin material – whether fossil or bio-based – and lowers the product’s CO2 footprint. The PCR material can have a different colour to that of the virgin plastic. At SeventyOne Percent, a conscious decision was made to take a positive approach to these possible colour deviations and to use them strategically for marketing purposes. A colour gradient was chosen, printed in offset, which includes the PCR look in the brand’s claim and position. The perfect combination of circularity, maintaining a modern and convenient gesture and trendy artwork. The design of the tube is characterised by a pleasantly understated, almost purist style and with this appeal it fits in perfectly with the spirit of the times.
